Visit to Olhão – a traditional fishing village, renowned for the cube-shaped white-washed houses and explore the famous market with its huge selection of fish. After visiting Olhão we propose an unforgettable visit along the waterways of the Ria Formosa Natural Park by boat.
This park is one of the most impressive in Europe with a rich and varied flora and fauna. It extends approximately 18,400 ha. and is one of the most ecologically interesting areas in the Algarve with it’s abundance of tiny islands, lagoons and meandering waterways.
Due to a happy coincidence of climatic and geographic factors the park is home to many types of aquatic birds which migrate from Northern and central Europe – including some rare species and also boasts a wide diversity of marine life.
A stop is made in one of these Islands where you can enjoy a stroll along the pristine sands, enjoy the sunshine and marvel at the natural sculptures of the sand dunes.
See old traditional style fishing cabins, salt flats and of course many species of birds including egrets, buzzards and the rare Purple Gallinule, symbol of the park.
Lunch is served in one of the typical Restaurants of the island but not included. Lunch supplemente available, contact tour guide locally.
