The downtown shopping street of Rua the Santo Antonio is the most traditional local commerce center with a variety of authentic shops and typical esplanades. The Ria Formosa Natural Park should not be missed, with boat trips leaving from the Faro Marina.
The baroque style Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church was built in 1719 and the Chapel of Bones is worth a walk to, through the narrow cobbled stone streets and old architecture.
