A full-day tour to discover the history and culture of the Algarve initiating in SILVES – known to the Arabs as Xelb, was a flourishing trade center when it became the Moorish capital of Algarve. On the top of the hill is the castle of Silves and the 13th-century cathedral built by the Christians on the ruins of a mosque.
MONCHIQUE – a typical village in the mountains covered with an exotic and unusual mixture of magnolia, eucalyptus, pine, chestnut, cork oak, and strawberry trees.
LAGOS – there are many tourist attractions and sights in Lagos, the city of the Portuguese discoveries 15th/16th centuries, such as the first slave market in Europe, the statue of Henry, The Navigator, and the golden church of Saint Anthony. Proceeding this tour to Sagres – CAPE ST. VINCENT, the south-westernmost point in Europe having one of the most powerful lighthouses.
BALEEIRA – an important fishing harbor. View of the 15th-century fortress of SAGRES, related to the life of Prince Henry, the Navigator.
